I actually thought it much stronger in terms of plot, character and interest than the Devil at Saxon's Wall, which I finished immediately before reading Brazen Tongue, but I can see how the characters cavalier approach to petrol rationing would be embarrassing as the war /5(6).
This I is the third book of the series I've read. The first two were great, but I think there were too many characters to keep up with in Brazen Tongue. One minute three young boys are about to climb a new water tower for a summer swim, when they're pulled away, then come back and see what they think is 4/5(9).
